New Book on Kilmessan Church– Mary Gannon has published a beautiful book to mark the bi-centenary of the Church of Our Lady’s Nativity. Mary is an accomplished local historian well acquainted with the story of Kilmessan and Dunsany. The book of just over 50 pages provides a detailed account of the building with beautiful pictures. It is printed by Excel Print, Navan and is available in the local shops. No doubt this will be a welcome resource for all who are interested in our parish and its history. It will be a welcome addition to existing books, each dealing with different aspects of life in Kilmessan /Dunsany.

Novena to Our Lady– Next Friday the Novena from Navan will involve input from our parish. It will be streamed from St Mary’s at 7.30pm

Fasting for Lent —Pope Francis

Fast from hurting words and say kind words.

Fast from sadness and be filled with gratitude.

Fast from anger and be filled with patience.

Fast from pessimism and be filled with hope.

Fast from worries and have trust in God.

Fast from complaints; contemplate simplicity.

Fast from pressures and be prayerful.

Fast from bitterness; fill your hearts with joy.

Fast from selfishness and be compassionate.

Fast from grudges and be reconciled.

Fast from words; be silent and listen.
